Keyword Searching

Simply type a word or phrase and press the Search button! However, by default, only records matching ALL words (AND) entered will be returned. You may specify alternative (OR) terms by enclosing them in square brackets [ ].

AND and OR terms may be combined in a single search.

wild cards in searches.

The wild card symbol is *. It is not possible to use wild cards as part of an AND statement. A list of alternatives will be presented if you try to search for a word which is not present in the database. The number of occurences will also be shown.

Examples

Examples Do not enter " in searches "Diana Ross" - returns all records matching "Diana" AND "Ross" "[Diana Ross]" - returns all records matching "Diana" OR "Ross"

"[Speilberg Travolta] Oscars" - returns all records matching "Spielberg AND Oscars" plus those matching "Travolta AND Oscars"

"Ros*" - returns all records matching Rose, Ross, Roscoe etc.

"[Ros* Dia*]" - returns all the above records plus those matching Diana, Diane etc.Use the Back button on your browser to return to the Search page
